Ish's
Leukaemia From Ish. Update.

On the 7th April 2008 Ish
was admitted into hospital and diagnosed
with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Ish’s consultant
said that the problem was that this type
of leukaemia has a high risk of death,
usually from serious bleeding, in the
first week or so, and judging by his blood
count, Ish had left it quite late to turn
up in hospital.
Ish was hospitalised for several weeks
while undergoing very intensive chemotherapy
treatment.
For the two and a half years that followed
he took daily chemotherapy tablets along
with other medication and had monthly
blood tests and 3 monthly bone marrow
biopsies to monitor things.
We now all praise God for the speed of
his recovery and give thanks for the consultants,
nursing staff, medical science, and of
course prayer from Christians all over
the world.
No one will ever realise just how much
peoples love and support has meant to
us as a family. We have been overwhelmed
by wonderful messages, prayers and practical
giving. Friends have carried us through
the darkest time of our lives.
Please keep praying that the cancer cells
do not return. We are convinced that a
miracle is happening and Ish is so pleased
to still be alive and is assured that
God still has more for him to do yet!
As from September 2010 the chemotherapy
course was completed and he is now fully
back on the road doing what he loves doing
most, Preaching, Praise Parties, Family
Services, Seminars, etc.
The last few years have ‘not been very
pleasant’ but Ish is convinced that he
has learned a lot through this experience
and because of the journey he has travelled,
he has even more to offer in ministry.
