'After a hectic three days Going Bananas with 70 or so local children we were looking forward to welcoming Ishmael to our Sunday Celebration. Over the week we had had Noah, Jemima (who washed Jesus' feet with her tears) and Gideon emerge from a Time Shed (otherwise know as a toilet tent with Dr Who effects) and we felt it would be a good idea for Ishmael to make his entrance in a similar way. Fortunately for us Ishmael was prepared to join in the fun - I don't think he'll ever have the opportunity to make his entrance from a toilet tent again!. Parents and children alike were on the edge of their seats to see who would be coming out of the Time Shed and it gave us a great opportunity to introduce Ishmael before he started his set. A few parents who remembered Ishmael from their youth were particularly excited. So many parents enjoyed the service and the children took a particular shine to Wolfy Wolfy and Bigger Barn which we had been singing throughout Going Bananas. We have had loads of positive feedback from parents, children and regular attenders at our church, ranging from 'Thank you so much' to 'Sunday was just so great wasn't it.' So thanks Ishmael for helping us to make Holiday Club a time to remember and for enabling us to finish it on such a high.
