Christ is Risen!

You can say you are agnostic, and you wish to stay that way
You say atheism seems more real than what Christians have to say
You say the Bible is outdated, read another book instead
But you could not stop my Jesus from rising from the dead

You can say He wanted rebellion, and He wanted anarchy
And as for being God’s only son that was blasphemy
You can say His fame and worship had made Him lose his head
But you could not stop my Jesus from rising from the dead.

You can tell your lies about Him, and try and put Him in His place
You could beat Him til it was impossible to recognise His face
You could leave Him hanging on a hill which His blood is turning red
But you could not stop my Jesus from rising from the dead.

You can say He is fictitious, you can say He’ll never last
You can say in the 21st century, He’s just a relic from the past
You can say what you like about my Lord, but I won’t be misled
Cos you could not stop my Jesus, from rising from the dead.
