Our weekend in Ashdon

We had a fantastic all age service at Ashdon Baptist Church yesterday and the photo is me with their wonderful minister Bren.

Again as expected in the small village, we did not have a huge congregation but enough to make the building look busy and what they may have lacked in numbers, they certainly made up for in enthusiasm.
Irene and I had a lovely weekend ministering in Ashdon with the ‘rough and steep’ concert on Saturday and the Sunday service and most importantly, we felt the presence of God with us at both.
I thought you might like to see the set of songs I chose which seemed ideal for this occasion.

The welcome song
God gave me hands to hold up high

Bible Reading

Hebrews 11 verse 6
Sing Hallelujah Hallelujah
The presence of the Lord
Wolfy wolfy
Turn your eyes upon Jesus (now this is an oldie but goldie!)

Prayers

Lord hear our prayer
I will bend down and touch my knees
Delight yourself
In the front are the singers
Here is love vast as the ocean
God gave me hands to hold up high
