Ishy’s Auction Number 8

Still waiting for more settled weather so I can photograph my larger item.

Meanwhile…

Just to remind you that I am at that age when I need to pass on some of my historic personal treasures / memorabilia to those who would like them because if I don’t, they are very likely to end up on the rubbish tip!

Today’s vinyl single I’m auctioning is quite rare as we only pressed a small number.

In 1972 when Myrrh and Word were beginning to dominate the young contemporary Christian recording industry, Andy and I decided (as always) to break tradition and bring out a single on our own label SALT.
It has 2 of my very early songs on it.

The A side is ‘Benedictus’ and the B side is ‘Song of Praise no 2.’

The sleeve is just a rough old plain piece of white cardboard (which was what we sold it in at the time) but the single is brand new.

We labelled it EBC 1 and EBC 2 because we recorded it at the Elim Bible College recording studio in Capel and the engineer (who proceeded to become my lifelong friend) was Helmut Kaufman.

Oh and if you do win it, remember to play it at 33 and a third revs or else you will be hearing Pinky and Perky rather than Ishmael and Andy!
.
The starting bid is £10.00 (P&P is included)

Sorry UK only.

If you fancy the single, please messenger / e mail me with your bid.

All those who contact me will be kept updated each time the bid is upped and then they can either up their bid or pull out.

I will end this auction next Monday July 29th

Minimum bid is £1.00

It will be a bit of fun and all money collected will help to support my ministry which I will be very grateful for.
.
Payment can be made by BACS at the end.
