A weekend with Ish
Although a one day/night Ish event will always be available, after a bit of prayerful thinking I’ve decided that an ‘Ish Weekend’ might also be another option Churches might prefer to take up.
I’ve agreed with a minister at a Church in Walsall that this is what we will do on the Saturday and Sunday April 5th and 6th. (More details soon)
The plan will be to do a ‘When the road is rough and steep’ testimony concert which is for adults on the Saturday, then follow it on the Sunday morning with the choice of an all-age family service or praise party.
Advantages.
1) Irene and I get to spend more time with you organisers and your congregation.
2)We have something for all ages in your Church over the weekend
3)We do not have to pack up our gear and drive on to another destination for the Sunday.
And…
4) You only pay the minimum travelling expenses for the Saturday; the Sunday will just be a ministry gift.
Sure, it would be a very different weekend (and with lots of laughter) but affordable for both larger and smaller Churches and maybe something refreshingly different as a one-off weekend…but one thing I can guarantee is that God will be present and doing things in peoples lives.
