Dorchester Abbey Praise Party

Thank you for your prayers for the Praise Party at Dorchester Abbey yesterday.
I am not exaggerating when I say it was the most amazing time, your prayers were truly answered.

I also realised just how much (even at my age) I still thrive on interaction, movement and variety in the hour or so.

In yesterday’s Praise Party, as well as sharing the good news of Jesus in 14 songs and stories, we memorised Scripture, enjoyed a team Bible quiz, had a short time of ‘musical’ prayers, and of course sung some lively praise. All in just over an hour.

There were a good number of all ages present in the marquee and both children and adults (even those my age) joined in enthusiastically at the happy event.

The children were also fully involved and when I shared with them a dramatic Bible story I loved seeing how attentive they were, and some never took their eyes off me for the whole story.

Brother Timbo and I had a wonderful time, and I think everyone else did too judging by their laughter, involvement and appreciative comments afterwards.

Thank you, Vicar Claire and team, for inviting me and getting so involved in the songs.

So, I don’t think I’ll be adding an ‘Ish Oddities’ concert to my repertoire, I don’t see the need. I’ll just stick to doing Praise Parties / All age services (same thing really) and my ‘When the road is rough and steep’ testimony concert.

I love doing these and love seeing what God is doing in people whilst I doing them.
