I so enjoyed teaching Year 4 pupils last week about the miracles and parables of Jesus. Here are some photos of our session. I was so pleased that the children came prepared with some of the stories they had read in advance, and they posed some really interesting and thought provoking questions. We talked about the miracle of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. We have 2 ancient stone carvings in the cathedral dating from the 12th century that depict this miracle. This week I am teaching Year 4 pupils about the miracles and parables of Jesus. It has been so enjoyable for me to study and reflect on these subjects. Most Bible teachers I am sure would agree that teachers get more out of the amount of preparation that goes into teaching sessions than the students. Hurrah! Hardback copies of my new book arrived today, and I am very excited. Although I understand it’s not everybody’s cup of tea and it’s very expensive even for a hardback copy, it is based on my PhD thesis on children’s Sunday School literature and it took me several years of study.
