I started using the term ‘Praise Party’ way back in 1982 (taken from a track on the power and the glories album) because it seemed to sum up my music events far more than the word ‘concert ‘. Why? Well they were fun, lots of praising with a party feel.Although they were for all ages I wanted to make sure that children could enjoy and understand the words of each song that I included. Anyway…. Lots of people of all ages arrived at Stanground Baptist Church for the Sunday praise party but as often happens…not so many young children. I am slightly surprised that more Churches have not felt the need to host a ‘When the road is rough and steep’ concert especially with so many suffering and needy people in our congregations these days. It is totally unique, very honest and personal, encouraging testimony concert. Last Saturday was an amazing time. A good number attended Stanground Baptist Church and we had all ages present  which is not surprising as cancer, serious illness, depression and bereavement do not just affect older people.
