The journey is over!
Well, we made it! All back in Chichester safe and sound thankfully with weary walking hero Joss having completed his 1229 mile walk in just under 3 months and me having completed my 500 mile drive through Scotland in just two and a half days. And…..over £3000 raised for the snowdrop charity. Yippee! But I just had to pop in to have a quick look at Gleneagles 2014 Ryder Cup course on the trip…wow makes the courses I play on look like seaside pitch and putt courses! Sadly I’ll never be good enough (or rich enough) to play on it but something’s provide a bit of pleasure just by looking…

The Scottish Expedition!
Hot on the heels of the ‘Tot’s Fest’ adventure comes the ‘Scottish Expedition!’ Tomorrow I drive up to Gatwick then fly up to Inverness. Here I will pick up a car and drive 120 miles up to John O’Groats to pick up and congratulate our weary son Joss on completing his Land’s End to John O’Groats walk. It’s amazing he has raised many 100’s of £s over his target of £2,400 to go to the children’s bereavement charity Snowdrop. Many thanks to all of you who sponsored him. Then on Thursday I drive 230 miles from John O’Groats to Perth, then on Friday drive a mere 45 miles down to…

My Tot Fest adventure!
Well, I guessed that there were going to be a few surprises on this gig…and there were! To start with I don’t think that I have ever done a gig in such a remote field! To get there I had to drive down a long dark (because of overhanging trees) single track road with very few passing spaces. It really was scary reversing when I came face to face with another vehicle. Then when I reached the field where people were camping (on quite a steep hill) I found myself skidding all over the place due to the rain that was falling. Then we met our organisers who were lovely…

Off to the Tot Fest
Today I am driving up to a village called Edge which is near Stroud to take part in a Tot Fest, which is quite different to most of the events I get invited to. The organiser sent me the following. We run an event for unchurched families every year from Aug 26th-29th ( the bank holiday week end.) Is there any chance that you could join us to stomp about in mud on the Saturday pm or Sunday pm doing talks, songs, or family entertainment in a large marquee? Our lot are not into God in a big way but they do tend to show up when I do some…

Joss has so nearly completed the course!
Our son Joss is getting very near to John Ogroats and the end of his journey having walked there from Lands End at his own expense. I will be going up to celebrate his ‘mission accomplished’ in a weeks time. Thank you so much to all of you who have sponsored him so that he can give to the wonderful work of the Snowdrop trust. He is now just a mere couple of hundred pounds short of the target set so please if you can afford it, can you give in the next few days to help reach the set target. Thank you Click on Read Joss’s story below to…
